Tamil Nadu Flood Relief Effort by Sacramento Tamil Mandrum

Sacramento Tamil Mandrum sincerely thanks each and every donor who contributed to this effort along with the Mandrum. We have now closed this initiative and are in the final stages of the disbursement of the collected amounts to the flood affected areas. Please read further for the updates!

We would like to thank Indian Association of Sacramento (IAS), Sacramento and their president Venkat Mechineni for the support towards the cause of Tamil Nadu Flood Relief. We collected $1,000.00 through IAS. Once again, thank you IAS and all other community organizations for the support.

We would like to thank Chinmaya Mission, Sacramento for their support towards the cause of Tamil Nadu Flood Relief. We collected $1,752.00 through this fund raising. Once again, thank you Chinmaya Mission for your support.

We would like to thank Ruchi Restaurant, Folsom for their support towards the cause of Tamil Nadu Flood Relief. The lunch Buffet on 12/20 was delicious. We collected $1,750.00 through this fund raising. Once again, thank you Ruchi team for your generosity and support.

We would like to thank Bawarchi Indian Cuisine, El Dorado Hills for their generosity towards the cause of Tamil Nadu Flood Relief. Bawarchi’s fundraising event held on December 15, raised $2,000.00 for STM’s Flood Relief effort. Bawarchi team packed and delivered 400 orders of food to various parts of Sacramento. We would also like to thank the volunteers who worked with Bawarchi to spread the word, pack, and deliver the food. Once again, thank you Bawarchi Team for your hard work and generosity.

We would like to recognize and thank the following team of volunteers for supporting the Tamil Nadu Flood Relief fundraising effort. They have collected $4,907.00. This shows how a small group of committed people can recognize a need and do something about it. Well done guys, when we all contribute, we accomplish.

We would like to thank Mylapore Restaurant, Folsom for their generosity and hard work towards the cause of Tamil Nadu Flood Relief. Mylapore’s boxed lunch initiative held on 12/10/15 to raise funds for STM’s TN Flood Relief reached over 15 large organizations encompassing over 70 Square Miles within the greater Sacramento area. Team Mylapore stayed awake the whole of Tuesday night cooking and coordinating to make this event a grand success. We would also like to thank volunteers from organizations that played a vital role towards spreading the word, raising awareness amongst fellow Californians about this humongous natural disaster and also physically distributing lunches to fellow patrons in their respective offices. We collected $3,560.00 through this event. Once again, thank you Team Mylapore for your hard work, generosity and last but not the least, for a delicious lunch.

We would like to thank Sacramento Regional Association of Malayalees (SARGAM) for supporting Tamil Nadu Flood Relief fund raising effort. The fund raising booth at their Christmas event on 12/12 at Rosemont High school collected $810.00. Our heartfelt thanks to SARGAM and the Malayalee community of Sacramento.
