Greetings to you from Sacramento Tamil Mandrum (STM)!

It is that time of the year when the Tamil community in Sacramento comes under one roof to have FUN! We are talking about

TAMIL PUTHTHAANDU VIZHA 2009!

It is time to bring your talents to the limelight in this mega event to be held at San Juan High School on April 25, 2009. We invite the community to be part of this mega event by participating in the programs ranging from Dance to Drama, or by encouraging the participants from the side lines...

The theme for this year's event is "Sabash - Seriyanna Potti"-. சபாஷ் சரியான போட்டி

So we are recommending that the programs showcase competitions, games of various sorts that are rooted in tamil culture.

GUIDELINES
 

 

To provide the best entertainment possible we follow certain guidelines for the programs. Some of them are:-

  • Recommended duration of programs is around 5+ min to a max of 10 min including the setup time ( exceptions maybe granted to certain types of programs e.g. drama)

  • Preference will be given to new participants who have not participated in previous years.

  • Preference will be given to programs that include a larger number of participants. Each participant can participate in a max of 2 programs. It is strongly recommended that participants are only involved in a single program as we might not be able to honor special scheduling requests, if participants are involved in multiple programs.

  • The board will try to make sure that there is a fair distribution of programs for all of us to enjoy a great evening. We regret that we may have to leave out some events due to either too many entries for that type of event or time considerations. The final list of approved programs will be communicated latest by March 7th, 2009.

  • We would like to have all responses in by the 28th of Feb, 2009.

  • Please send the following details about your participation:

    • Type of Event
    • Name of the person in-charge
    • Contact Information
    • Number of participants
    • Name of the participants
    • Duration ( with and without setup time)

 

  • Even if you have already sent emails/talked to one of us, please send theinformation again to event_chair@sactamil.org as only entries submitted to this email by the deadline will be taken into consideration.

In addition to the programs, we are going to have a Music DJ at the end of the function . We will be sending a email shortly about the tickets and availability soon...
